Summary: SealVault processes your files locally on your device to generate cryptographic hashes. We do not access, read, or store the contents of your original files on our servers.

1. Information We Collect

When you use SealVault, we may collect the following information:

Account Information: Email address, name, and password (for account creation and authentication via Firebase Auth).
File Metadata: File name, size, format, category, and SHA-256 hash. We do NOT collect or store the actual file content.
Certificate Data: Generated certificate IDs, timestamps, and QR verification data.
Purchase Information: In-app purchase records processed through Apple's App Store (we do not collect payment details directly).

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your SealVault account
To generate cryptographic certificates for your files
To sync your seals and certificates across devices via cloud backup
To process in-app purchases and manage your subscription
To provide customer support

3. File Processing

SealVault processes your files entirely on your device. The SHA-256 hash is computed locally. Only the resulting hash value and file metadata are uploaded to our cloud infrastructure — never the original file contents.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud Platform). We implement industry-standard security measures including:

SHA-256 cryptographic hashing
Per-account data isolation
Encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL)
Firebase Authentication for secure access

5. Third-Party Services

SealVault uses the following third-party services:

Firebase Authentication: For user account management
Firebase Firestore: For cloud data storage
Firebase Storage: For cloud file backup
Apple StoreKit: For in-app purchase processing

These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

6. Camera & Photo Library Access

SealVault requests access to your device's camera for QR code scanning (certificate verification) and photo library for sealing image files. These permissions are only used for their stated purpose and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete all your local data at any time from SealVault's Settings. When you delete your account or clear all data, your locally stored seals and certificates are permanently removed. To request deletion of cloud-stored data, contact us at [email protected].

8. Children's Privacy

SealVault is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
